- The Advanced Learning Center has
conducted research on personal
response systems, also known as clickers, and their use
at the University of Memphis.
The purpose of the research was to
determine if standards need to be implemented regarding the
use of personal response system technology at the University
of Memphis. Some
questions concerning standardization have arisen with the
growing popularity of this technology. Both students and
instructors have voiced concerns regarding different systems
being used in classrooms across campus. This in turn could
possibly force students to purchase multiple response units
for different courses. Read the PRS Findings Report (by Kristy
