Joyce started working at The University of Memphis in August 2001 in the Information System Training Center as an office assistant. Her duties consisted of online registration for training classes, making reservations for computer lab and other administrative duties. In September 2002, Joyce became the Administrative Assistant for the Advanced Learning Center. Currently, Joyce is a member of three support teams here at the university: Administrative Support Team, Key Rep Team and the Outreach Team. Joyce completed an AA degree from Bevill State Community College (Fayette, AL) with a major in Elementary Education and a minor in Computer Science and a BS in Professional Studies in Diversity in Education at The University of Memphis. She is currently working on her MA in Leadership at The University of Memphis. Joyce's distinctions include being an American Sign Language Interpreter and being a recipient for the Minority Leadership award from West Alabama Easter Seal Rehabilitation Foundation.
