Venitra Hollingsworth joined The University of Memphis as an Instructional Technology Specialist in fall of 2000. Currently, her primary duties include assisting faculty with the development and support of integrating instructional technology into their curriculum—specifically training faculty for online course development using WebCT and Blackboard/CourseInfo course management programs. She provides other technology training and support to faculty as well as to staff and students. Venitra also works part-time as a computer instructor for Continuing Education. Her project involvement includes: DVINCI (Digital Video in Classroom Instruction), Information Technology Task Fluency for Staff, and Digital Video (DV) production for other related projects. Prior to coming to The University of Memphis, Venitra worked as technology trainer where she taught various software application programs at a private computer technology center in Jackson, MS and part-time computer training in local community centers. A native of Mississippi, she received her BS degree in Educational Psychology and a MS degree in Instructional Technology from Mississippi State University.
